Job summary

MindWise in Belfast is recruiting for a fixed-term post delivering a tailored transition programme helping clients move from temporary accommodation into a permanent home. The role supports securing and settling into independent accommodation and promotes tenancy stability to reduce homelessness.

Applicants should have recent paid homelessness support experience and NISCC registration or be eligible to register from the start, with flexibility for evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Qualifications

• Sound understanding of social care needs of people struggling to sustain tenancies
• Understanding of homelessness issues incl. mental health & addiction

Responsibilities

• Deliver a personalised transition programme for clients moving from temporary accommodation into a permanent home
• Support clients to secure and settle into independent accommodation
• Provide ongoing support to promote tenancy stability and reduce risk of future homelessness
• Build clients' essential skills and knowledge to sustain long-term tenancies
