Tarasis Enterprises is recruiting a Housing Support Worker to join our Support Services Team in Newry, NI. The role focuses on helping individuals sustain tenancies, prevent homelessness, and live independently in the community.

You will assess needs, manage risks, and assist clients to set realistic targets and progress toward stable housing. The position involves carrying a caseload, visiting clients, and working with various professionals to deliver tailored community support and advocacy.

Qualifications

• Experience in housing or social care is required.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Full EU Driving licence or access to a car is necessary.
• Ability to cope with changing priorities and multitask.
• Flexible approach to work to meet service needs.
• Satisfactory Access NI check.

Responsibilities

• Carry a caseload of service users and perform duties of a project worker in the community.
• Work in partnership with the Northern Ireland Housing Executive.
• Be available to work when service needs require and allocate staff resources efficiently.
• Visit service users at home or residence when needed.
• Assist in assessing needs and risks and help set achievable targets.
• Monitor progress through regular reviews and support service users to sustain tenancies.
