Job summary

Providence Row is seeking a Tenancy Support Case Worker in London to support individuals who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. The role involves managing caseloads, assessments, and personalised support plans within Tower Hamlets.

You will provide housing advice, referrals, and access to services across housing, health, and benefits, while safeguarding vulnerable clients and maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• Experience in case management for homeless or at-risk individuals.
• Good understanding of housing law and homelessness legislation.
• Strong safeguarding awareness and ability to identify risks.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of clients, completing assessments and developing personalised support plans and goals.
• Provide advice and support around housing, accommodation, benefits, finances and tenancy sustainment.
• Make housing referrals and support clients to access appropriate accommodation through local authority and other housing options services.
• Support clients to access mental health, substance misuse, healthcare, training and employment services.
• Identify and refer safeguarding concerns, including domestic abuse, sexual exploitation, modern slavery and adult social care needs.
• Work closely with housing providers, local authorities, health services and other partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes.
• Maintain accurate case records and client information using the Inform database.
• Build strong relationships with clients, partner agencies and housing providers to increase access to suitable accommodation.

Tenancy Support Case Worker to join Providence Row's Advice & Support Team, supporting individuals who are homeless, rough sleeping or at risk of homelessness across Tower Hamlets.

Location: London - Tower Hamlets / East London

Hours: 35 hours per week

Contract: Temporary

DBS: Enhanced C + A

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of clients, completing assessments and developing personalised support plans and goals.
• Provide advice and support around housing, accommodation, benefits, finances and tenancy sustainment.
• Make housing referrals and support clients to access appropriate accommodation through local authority and other housing options services.
• Support clients to access mental health, substance misuse, healthcare, training and employment services.
• Identify and refer safeguarding concerns, including domestic abuse, sexual exploitation, modern slavery and adult social care needs.
• Work closely with housing providers, local authorities, health services and other partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes.

About You:

• Experience supporting people who are homeless, rough sleeping or at risk of homelessness.
• Good understanding of housing legislation, including the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017 and Part VII of the Housing Act 1996.
• Experience of key working, case management and developing personalised support plans.
• Strong communication, organisation and IT skills.
• Ability to manage challenging situations while maintaining professional boundaries.
• A compassionate, respectful, inclusive and empowering approach to supporting vulnerable adults.
• Experience working collaboratively with internal and external agencies.
