Job summary

Balfour Beatty Power T&D, part of Balfour Beatty plc, is seeking an experienced Temporary Works Coordinator for the Skye 132kV Reinforcement Project, Fort Augustus. You will lead the safe planning, coordination and delivery of complex temporary works across a large transmission programme.

Based at the Fort Augustus hub, you will manage designs, approvals and inspections, coordinating with designers, site teams and the client to ensure robust controls and compliance throughout the project

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating temporary works across major infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of BS5975 and CDM Regulations.
• Ability to coordinate designers, site teams, subcontractors and client representatives.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for all temporary works activities on the project.
• Coordinate Temporary Works Designers, Permanent Works Designers, site teams and subcontractors.
• Review and manage temporary works design briefs to capture site conditions and construction requirements.
• Ensure designs are checked, approved and implemented per standards and procedures.
• Maintain the Temporary Works Register and related documentation.
• Issue permits and manage hold points with inspections before loading, use or dismantling.
• Identify and mitigate temporary works risks with robust controls.
• Monitor compliance via inspections and audits; engage with site teams.
• Provide guidance on temporary works requirements to project personnel.
• Collaborate with construction, engineering and subcontractor teams for seamless integration of temporary and permanent works.
