Job summary

Ferrovial Construction in London is seeking a Temporary Works Design Manager to lead the design of temporary railworks for a major HS2 track package. Based with the Birmingham lot team, you will coordinate with civil, signalling and external suppliers, ensuring compliance with HS2 standards and CDM regulations.

You will manage interfaces, develop delivery programmes, and ensure proper training and competency checks.

Qualifications

• Degree in civil engineering or equivalent.
• Chartered Civil or Structural Engineer preferred.
• Experience in rail projects and implementing temporary works.

Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for ensuring temporary works follow correct process and standards.
• Lead design of temporary railheads and related works for the HS2 package.
• Be first contact between designer and site team for temporary works matters.
• Ensure on-site teams receive appropriate training for temporary works management.
• Coordinate with civil, signaling, and external stakeholders on interfaces.
