Job summary

Service Care Solutions is seeking an experienced Housing Officer for a 3-month contract in Redhill, Surrey. You will deliver a customer-focused housing management service, covering sign-ups, inspections, succession processes, and safety compliance.

The role requires frontline housing management experience, strong customer handling skills, and familiarity with housing management systems; a driving licence is essential for travelling to sites.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering frontline housing management services.
• Ability to manage customer queries and difficult situations.
• Familiarity with housing management software and DBS clearance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage tenancy sign-ups, visits, annual checks and terminations.
• Process successions, assignments, mutual exchanges and tenancy conversions.
• Handle neighbour disputes, tenancy breaches and low-level anti-social behaviour cases.
• Conduct estate, property and pre-void inspections, and nominee viewings.
• Support voids, relets, decants and new build handovers.
• Identify vulnerabilities and make internal/external referrals.
• Collaborate with residents, authorities, police, contractors and support agencies.
• Promote resident engagement and self-service options.
• Ensure property safety compliance, including fire-door checks and Fire Risk Assessments.
