Job summary

Royal Mail is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join us as flexible (temporary) postal delivery drivers. As a Post Person with Driving, you’ll be the face of Royal Mail in your community, delivering letters and parcels come rain or shine.

Shifts run across the day and night with competitive hourly rates (£13.69–£16.44) and bonuses for reliability. A full UK driving licence with up to 6 points, fitness to walk long distances, and flexibility to work on short notice are

Qualifications

• Driving Licence: Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points
• Physical Fitness: Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day, get in and out of your van regularly, and carry a mailbag weighing up to 16kg
• Flexibility: Shifts can vary, so we need team players who can adapt at short notice

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels on your route, driving a Royal Mail delivery van and walking sections of the route when needed.
• Securely deliver all items on your route and handle and deliver election materials and certain items in line with Royal Mail standards.
