Job summary

North Beverley Medical Centre is seeking a proactive care navigator to join the administrative team for a one-year period. The role focuses on directing patients to the right service, handling calls and visitors, and coding incoming clinical letters for action.

The post is 30 hours per week with shifts including early starts, late finishes and a Tuesday evening rota; primary care experience is helpful, training provided. UK resident status is required.

Qualifications

• GCSE level or equivalent required.
• Experience of working with the public and administrative duties is desired.
• Excellent written and spoken communication and a good telephone manner.
• Strong IT skills and the ability to use standard office software.

Responsibilities

• Administer the practice efficiently and effectively.
• Manage day-to-day workloads and tasks across the practice.
• Code incoming clinical letters and complete required actions.
• Direct patients to appropriate services and communicate with clinicians.
• Maintain team and individual performance and ensure safety and compliance.
• Support staff, patients and visitors in person or by phone.
• Ensure timely and accurate communications with patients and external agencies.
