Job summary

Broxtowe Borough Council is seeking a Temporary Accommodation Officer to join our Housing Options Team in Beeston. This frontline role involves working with customers who are homeless or at risk, delivering practical support and ensuring temporary accommodation is safe, well managed and suitable.

You will handle day-to-day support in council-owned accommodation, coordinate repairs, carry out visits, and manage a caseload with a person-centred approach, building partnerships with internal teams,

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support to clients living in temporary accommodation, ensuring compliance with licence agreements
• Manage Council-owned temporary accommodation, maintaining high standards of safety, security, and cleanliness
• Oversee the management of buildings and individual units, coordinating repairs, maintenance, and property-related issues
• Carry out face-to-face visits with new customers, ensuring they understand their responsibilities and can access relevant benefits and support
• Manage your own caseload of vulnerable individuals and families, delivering a responsive and person-centred service
• Develop and maintain effective partnerships with internal departments, contractors, suppliers, and accommodation providers (including B&B proprietors).
