Job summary

Middlesbrough Council is recruiting a Temporary Accommodation Broker Co-Ordinator to work with the Housing Solutions team to arrange emergency, interim and temporary accommodation placements.

The role involves accurate administration, liaison with providers, and tracking placements to support timely move on, with opportunities for blended working. We offer development opportunities and a welcoming induction process for new staff.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating accommodation placements with housing solutions teams.
• Ability to record information accurately for reporting to managers and finance.
• Experience working with services to support clients accessing ACT and housing.

• Carry out all associated administration of the placements.
• Liaise with accommodation providers to ensure up-to-date essential documentation is provided and logged.
• Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to track all placements to help ensure timely move on.
• Record information accurately to ensure reporting data is correct for service managers and finance colleagues.
• Effectively communicate with colleagues and other local authorities around placement in and out of the area.

Whilst in post there will be development opportunities alongside flexible working with the option of a blended working environment (home and office where appropriate).
