Job summary

Microlise is seeking a Field Service & Installation Engineer (Reading, field based) to install, service and support our telematics products at customer sites across Reading and surrounding areas. You will travel to sites, complete QA visits, manage inventory, and ensure vehicle and tools safety while liaising with customers at all levels.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience in auto electrics and/or telematics.
• Full UK Driving Licence is essential.
• Experience working to Service Level Agreements and Operational Schedules.
• Understanding of vehicle wiring diagrams and ability to interpret them.
• Evidence of strong customer service skills with a professional approach.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills and ability to adapt style to audiences.
• Ability to work autonomously and adhere to processes.
• Valid Passport for travel.

Responsibilities

• Install and service Microlise product portfolio at customer sites.
• Attend timely visits to customer sites for installation, servicing and support.
• Conduct site surveys and identify suitable solutions.
• Perform QA visits on Microlise products and peripherals in customer assets.
• Manage inventory and ensure vehicle/tools safety.
• Liaise with customers at all levels and provide peer support as needed.
• Keep administration accurate and professional, following internal processes.
