Job summary

East Lancashire Learning Group is seeking a staff member to prepare Building Services Workshops for practical assignments and ensure course work materials are readily available. The role includes handling deliveries, storing materials, and running an equipment booking system.

You will maintain tools, perform safety checks, and manage COSHH documentation. Experience in construction environments and with 16-18 year-olds is essential, with a strong emphasis on health and safety.

Qualifications

• VRQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
• Experience of working within construction occupations.
• Knowledge of training environments or working with 16-18 year-olds.
• Experience of monitoring consumable usage and purchasing materials and equipment.
• Understanding of health and safety risk assessments and COSHH regulations.

• Prepare Building Services Workshops for practical assignments.

• Provision of a store service and equipment and tool booking system.
• Maintain, repair and set up tools and equipment and booking in tools after use.

• Provision of a store service and equipment and tool booking system.
• Maintain, repair and set up tools and equipment, including booking in of tools after use, check for re-use and return to storage.
• Carry out safety checks to equipment and update documentation as appropriate.
