We are seeking to appoint a practical, organised and resourceful Technician to join our Construction team, providing technical and operational support across our Wet Trades provision, with a particular focus on brickwork and plastering. The successful candidate will support the Construction delivery team by ensuring workshops, materials, equipment and resources are prepared, maintained and readily available to support effective teaching and learning.
The role will require a good understanding of construction materials and practical processes, together with the ability to safely operate and manage a range of tools, equipment and workshop machinery. The successful candidate will also contribute to the day-to-day management of materials and stock, including receiving deliveries, maintaining appropriate stock levels, assisting with purchasing and ordering, and ensuring resources are stored safely and efficiently. Good IT skills and the ability to use computer-based systems for ordering, stock management, record-keeping and general administration are essential.
The role will be primarily based across our Ammanford Campus and VSC Centre in Llanelli, while also supporting the wider technical requirements of the Curriculum Area and contributing to the development of an efficient, safe and well-organised learning environment.
