Job summary

Autoskills-Uk in Maidstone is seeking a Vehicle Technician to maintain and repair customer vehicles to manufacturer standards, with a focus on quality service.

You will perform health checks, servicing, fault diagnosis, and repairs, complete warranty work where needed, and road test vehicles to verify fixes, while keeping thorough workshop documentation and supporting the Service Department.

Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
  • Experience as Vehicle Technician, Vehicle Mechanic, Automotive Technician or Service Technician.
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
  • Full UK Driving Licence required.
  • Experience within a dealership environment beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Carrying out vehicle health checks using diagnostic technology.
  • Carrying out servicing and routine maintenance.
  • Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults.
  • Carrying out authorised repairs efficiently and accurately.
  • Carrying out warranty repairs in line with manufacturer guidelines.
  • Road testing vehicles to verify repairs.
  • Completing all job cards and workshop documentation.
  • Working closely with the Service Department to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

VEHICLE TECHNICIAN
Location: Maidstone
Basic Salary: £32,500 - £37,000 (Depending on Qualifications & Experience)
OTE: Up to £43,000
Hours: 40 Hours per Week | Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm | 1 in 3 Saturdays 8:30am - 12:30pm
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

The Role
As a Vehicle Technician, you'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing customer vehicles to manufacturer standards whilst delivering first-class customer service.
Responsibilities include:

  • Carrying out vehicle health checks using the latest diagnostic technology
  • Completing servicing and routine maintenance
  • Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults
  • Carrying out authorised repairs efficiently and accurately
  • Completing warranty repairs in line with manufacturer guidelines
  • Road testing vehicles to ensure repairs have been successfully completed
  • Completing all job cards and workshop documentation accurately
  • Working closely with the Service Department to deliver an exceptional customer experience


About You

  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
  • Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician, Vehicle Mechanic, Automotive Technician or Service Technician
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • Passion for delivering high-quality workmanship
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Experience within a dealership environment beneficial but not essential
