Job summary

Auto Skills UK is recruiting an experienced Vehicle Technician to join a busy dealership workshop in Banbury. The role covers servicing, maintenance and repairs to manufacturer standards, with day shifts Monday to Friday, 08:00–17:30 and no weekends.

The ideal candidate will hold NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, have at least 2 years' experience, and be able to diagnose faults, perform health checks and complete service records. Valid UK driving licence and own tools are required.

Qualifications

  • Must hold an NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years' experience as Vehicle Technician, Service Technician or Mechanic.
  • Diagnostic and fault-finding experience desirable.
  • MOT Licence beneficial but not essential.
  • Must hold your own tools and toolbox.
  • Full UK Manual Driving Licence (subject to licence checks).
  • Right to work in the UK - no sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs to manufacturer standards.
  • Perform diagnostics and fault finding on mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Complete vehicle health checks and identify additional work requirements.
  • Carry out routine maintenance, inspections and manufacturer-scheduled servicing.
  • Ensure all work is completed efficiently, safely and to a high standard.
  • Accurately complete job cards, service records and workshop documentation.
  • Work collaboratively with the workshop team to maximise productivity and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain compliance with health and safety and manufacturer procedures.

VEHICLE TECHNICIAN / SERVICE TECHNICIAN

Basic Salary: £40,000 Depending on Experience


OTE: £43,000


Location: Banbury Hours: Monday - Friday 08:00 - 17:30 No Weekends
