Job summary

d3t is expanding its UK studio and seeks a Technical UI Designer to redefine UI/UX across platforms for AAA projects. The role is a 12-month fixed-term contract based in the UK with hybrid working at Daresbury or Newcastle.

You will collaborate with engineers, UX designers and UI artists to deliver scalable UI features and toolchains. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in game UI development, experience delivering polished AAA UI, and familiarity with Unity/Unreal UI, ImGui, WPF or Qt.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional game development experience
• Implemented UI screens, widgets, logic and data flows
• Rapid prototyping to test concepts and bring ideas to completion
• Polished features to AAA quality and maintained them
• Experience with Unity UI, Unreal UI, ImGui, WPF or Qt is a bonus

Responsibilities

• Work with team to structure, plan, estimate and implement UI features
• Collaborate with engineers, scripters, UX designers and UI artists
• Improve UI implementation based on feedback and direction
• Ensure interfaces scale across platforms and resolutions
• Build tools and workflows for other UI artists
• Create and integrate UI shaders and effects
• Report to technical directors and project managers
• Demonstrate attention to detail and typography
• Maintain a collaborative and inclusive attitude
• Debug UI systems as needed
