Job summary

d3t Studio, part of Keywords Studios Group, seeks a Technical UI Designer for a 12-month fixed-term contract in the UK. The role blends UI design with technical art, focusing on cross‑platform UI/UX experiences and tool workflows.

You will collaborate with engineers, UX designers and artists to deliver robust UI systems, shaders, and scalable interfaces while maintaining AA quality across platforms. Hybrid work is available in the UK.

Qualifications

3+ years of professional game development experience working with game engines.
Implemented UI screens, widgets, logic, and data flows in collaboration with other game disciplines.
Experience in rapid prototyping to test feasibility from concept to finished product with ownership.
Experience polishing features to AAA quality and maintaining them throughout the production cycle.
Experience with UI systems such as Unity UI, Unreal UI, ImGui, WPF, or Qt would be a bonus.

Responsibilities

Structure, plan, estimate, and implement features aligning with game goals, accessibility, and technical standards.
Collaborate with engineers, scripters, UX designers, and UI artists to implement UI elements and layouts.
Use Python, JavaScript, C++, or visual scripting to implement UI logic.
Improve implementation based on feedback, requirements, art and direction.
Ensure interfaces scale across platforms and maintain performance.
