Job description

The Volkswagen Group UK National Learning Centre is the UK’s largest automotive training facility, located in Milton Keynes, serving 26,000 retailer learners in the UK. Calex is the supplier of learning services, partnering with Volkswagen Group UK.

The role

Our Technical Trainers provide technicians with the latest training and technology updates, delivering skills and knowledge to enable technicians to excel in their roles. They engage learners from the moment they enter the National Learning Centre or log into Virtual Classrooms, inspiring them to be their best.

We are looking for trainers to:

1. Deliver core technical and project-based training via classroom, workshops, virtual sessions, and broadcasts.
2. Develop new materials for Model Launch courses and update existing content.
3. Attend Volkswagen Factory branded events and product launches.

About You

Our ideal Technical Trainer will:

• Hold relevant technical qualifications such as City and Guilds Levels 1-3 or a National Crafts Certificate.
• Possess strong vehicle electrics and diagnosis knowledge.
• Be passionate about the automotive industry.

• Continuously develop their skills.

Salary & Benefits

Starting at £37,000, with increases upon successful probation. Salaries vary by level up to £43,860 for Master Trainer. Includes a car allowance (£3,942/year), personal development funding up to £10,000 within 18 months, 25 days annual leave, and employee benefits such as discounts and health schemes.

Employment

The successful candidate will be employed by Calex UK, a specialist automotive training provider, joining an established team at the VWG National Learning Centre in Milton Keynes.

Place of Work

VWG National Learning Centre, Wymbush, Milton Keynes, with occasional work at other locations and international events.
