Job description

Our client, a manufacturer producing both single and double deck battery and fuel cell electric buses is currently looking for a Customer Technical Trainer to join their team! The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialised advice and training to our customers and service team workforce, with the focus on delivering excellent customer support and service.

The Customer Technical Trainer will:

  • Identify and train customer employees, to ensure high-quality knowledge of the solution and best possible transfer and retention of knowledge to the users.
  • Implement assessment criteria and evaluation methods to ensure that learning outcomes are met.
  • Collaborate with other organisations and recognised bodies to drive the standards of new and existing training schemes.
  • Identify, develop, and as appropriate deliver training programmes/videos, ensuring our customers objectives are met in a timely manner and to the appropriate standard.
  • Implement Learning and Development strategies based on the needs of our customers.
  • Work alongside the Training team and customers business area, develop training plans and deliver appropriate training programmes in a timely manner.

The Customer Technical Trainer will have:
  • A minimum of 3 years experience working in a training management role or a minimum of 5 years experience working in a training role.
  • Demonstrable experience, working knowledge or previous experience in delivering training in some or all of the below disciplines:
  • HGV/PSV Driveline installations
  • PSV Body Construction
  • HGV/PSV installed electrical systems
  • HGV/PSV installed Heating Systems
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to work under pressure to meet multiple deadlines.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and accomplished problem-solving abilities.
