Job summary

Alexander Faraday Recruitment is seeking a Technical Trainer for the Defence sector. The role involves delivering technical maintenance training to military customers across the UK and internationally, combining classroom and hands-on sessions on highly specialised aerospace equipment.

You will travel regularly to military bases, adapt training materials, and answer technical questions while working with engineering and field service teams to support customers worldwide.

Qualifications

• Hands-on aerospace, aviation, military or defence engineering experience.
• The ability to understand technical procedures and engineering drawings.
• Experience using engineering tools and test equipment.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Confidence dealing with experienced technical customers.
• A willingness to travel regularly, including internationally.

Are you an experienced aerospace, a or military engineering professional who enjoys sharing your technical knowledge?

This is an opportunity to move into a specialist Technical Instructor role, travelling to military customer sites across the UK and internationally to deliver a combination of classroom and practical, hands‑on training on highly specialised aerospace equipment.

The Role

About You

We're interested in experienced aerospace engineers, aircraft technicians, military engineers and technical trainers who can combine strong technical knowledge with the ability to teach others.

You'll need:

Formal training qualifications are beneficial, but we're equally interested in technically strong engineers or technicians who have experience training, coaching or mentoring others.
