Job summary

MBDA UK Ltd. is seeking a Software Engineering Technical Team Lead to guide a mid-sized development team of eight as they build our missile-system middleware. The role blends hands-on engineering leadership with delivery accountability in a security-sensitive environment.

You will drive Agile sprints, coordinate requirements, ensure coding standards, and promote process improvements while working in a hybrid pattern and meeting UK security clearance requirements.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading software teams and delivering on schedules.
• Strong coding background with C/C++, Ada, or JavaScript.
• Experience with Linux OS configuration and security maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Manage Agile sprints, ceremonies, and backlog prioritisation.
• Develop software systems and processes to ensure smooth delivery.
• Coordinate tasks, assign work, and ensure deadlines are met.
• Ensure coding standards, QA practices, and process improvements.
• Collaborate across teams on middleware solutions for missile systems.
