Job summary

MBDA are seeking a Software Engineering Technical Team Lead to guide a mid-sized development team currently eight strong, working on the missile-system middleware solution. You’ll manage Agile sprints, ceremonies and backlog prioritisation while developing software processes to ensure smooth delivery.

The role requires C or C++ (Essential), with Ada, JavaScript, or shell scripting experience. Linux OS configuration and security knowledge are beneficial in our secure environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with C or C++ (essential)
• Ada and/or JavaScript or shell scripting experience
• Experience leading software teams or coordinating engineers
• Linux OS configuration, security, or administration beneficial

Responsibilities

• Lead a mid-sized development team (8 engineers) in missile-system middleware projects
• Manage Agile sprints, ceremonies and backlog prioritisation to ensure timely delivery
• Develop and improve software processes to enable smooth delivery and quality
• Coordinate tasks across team members to meet deadlines and milestones
• Enforce coding standards and QA practices and identify process improvements
• Collaborate with the Software Project Leader to align design decisions and integration
