Job summary

Meridian Business Support Ltd is assisting an established engineering business in Witney to recruit a Technical Support Engineer. You will deliver expert technical guidance, prepare quotations, and ensure customers receive outstanding support throughout the sales and project lifecycle.

You will work in a hybrid setup, liaising with Sales Engineers, Product and Project Managers, and customers, applying hydraulic knowledge to resolve issues while supporting profitability and timely project

Qualifications

• Experience with hydraulic accessories (accumulators, filtration, coolers, valves, manifolds).
• Strong customer service via telephone and email.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Proactive with attention to detail and ability to work on own initiative.
• Proficient IT skills including Excel, Word and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed quotations tailored to customer specifications, including complex or bespoke requirements.
• Provide in-depth technical advice and product support across hydraulic products and solutions.
• Collaborate with Engineering to meet customer requirements while maintaining project profitability.
• Act as a technical point of contact for divisional teams, providing guidance and support.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers, delivering a high level of service.
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure prompt responses and efficient project delivery.
• Keep up to date with industry developments, market trends and new project opportunities.
• Attend customer meetings and site visits as required.
