Job summary

First Military Recruitment are seeking a Technical Support Engineer to provide on-site and remote assistance from Wickham/Portsmouth. The role includes logging and prioritising requests, delivering classroom and virtual training, and creating user manuals and tutorials.

Full training will be provided; external certifications funded and opportunities to develop product knowledge through internal programmes. Ex-military applicants are encouraged.

Qualifications

• On-site required; hands-on testing and classroom leadership.
• Proven IT/electronic/electrical or technical support background.
• Eagerness to learn new hardware, software and systems.
• Comfort presenting to groups and hosting instructional videos.
• Logical, methodical approach to diagnosing technical issues.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver practical technical and system support via phone, email and tickets from the office.
• Log, manage and prioritise customer requests in CRM/ticketing system to resolution.
• Lead classroom and virtual (MS Teams) product training sessions.
• Create support collateral: FAQs, datasheets, manuals and video tutorials.
• Evaluate potential new products/systems and feedback to commercial teams.
• Assist Sales with technical system calculations and pre-sales guidance.
