Job summary

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is recruiting a Shift Leader to join the team in City of London. You will manage shift staffing, training plans and service delivery to ensure PPM/CM tasks meet SLA requirements.

You will oversee safety compliance, maintain professional standards, and coordinate with contractors to deliver an integrated service while reporting performance and workload status weekly.

Qualifications

  • City and Guilds or equivalent qualification in designated trade.
  • Extensive previous experience of technical maintenance in a building services environment & supervisory experience.
  • Good knowledge of Health and Safety and Environmental processes.
  • Shift lead, Lead engineer, or lead shift role.

Responsibilities

  • Manage holiday, sickness cover and HR issues including appraisals of shift staff.
  • Ensure training plans are in place and implemented.
  • Maintain CBRE GWS team image and professional standards.
  • Supervise M&E shift team and senior technical representative out of hours.
  • Act as point of contact for technical service delivery.
  • Plan and manage workload on shift to complete PPMs/CMs and reactive work orders within SLA.
  • Ensure effective shift handovers via log book, email, and status board.
  • Coordinate with other service providers for integrated service delivery.
  • Act as Authorised Person for control of work.
  • Oversee Permit to Work System and electrical switching within authorization limits.
  • Lead shift training using scenarios and lessons learnt.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety processes for staff and sub-contractors.
  • Carry out toolbox talks, workplace assessments and audits as required.
  • Adhere to CBRE GWS processes with proper approvals.
  • Manage budgetary control on CBRE spend.
  • Provide weekly workload reports and monthly client updates.
