Job summary

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is seeking a Shift Leader to join the City of London team. You will manage holiday and sickness cover, oversee shift staff appraisals and ensure training plans are in place and implemented.

You will supervise M&E shift engineers, act as the contact for technical service delivery, plan workload to complete PPMs and reactive orders within SLA, and maintain HSE compliance across CBRE GWS operations.

Qualifications

• City and Guilds or equivalent qualification in designated trade.
• Extensive experience of technical maintenance in a building services environment with supervisory responsibilities.
• Good knowledge of Health and Safety and Environmental processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage holiday and sickness cover and HR-related appraisals for shift staff.
• Ensure training plans are in place and implemented.
• Supervise M&E shift team and senior technical representative out of hours.
• Act as point of contact for technical service delivery.
• Plan and manage shift workload to complete PPMs/CMs and reactive work orders within defined SLAs.
• Maintain effective shift handover with log book, emails and status boards.
• Liaise with CBRE GWS service providers to deliver an integrated service.
• Ensure adherence to Permit to Work and Change Control processes.
• Lead shift training and ensure safe operation of critical plant.
• Maintain health & safety compliance and carry out toolbox talks and site assessments.
