Job summary

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is seeking a Shift Leader for our team in City of London. You will manage shift staffing, training plans and ensure high standards of safety while supervising M&E technicians on site.

Responsibilities include coordinating PPMs, CM work orders, and handover communications, and acting as the point of contact for service delivery. Strong health and safety knowledge and supervisory experience are essential.

Qualifications

• City and Guilds or equivalent qualification in designated trade.
• Extensive previous experience of technical maintenance in a building services environment and supervisory experience.
• Good knowledge of Health and Safety and Environmental processes.
• Shift lead, Lead engineer, lead shift

Responsibilities

• Manage holiday, sickness cover requirements and HR issues including completion of appraisals of shift staff.
• Ensure training plans are in place and implemented.
• Maintain the image, appearance and professional standing of CBRE GWS technical team at all times.
• Supervise technical M&E shift team and senior technical representative out of hours.
• Act as point of contact for technical service delivery.
• Plan and manage workload on shift; schedule works based on priorities to ensure completion of PPMs/CMs and reactive work orders within defined SLA's.
• Ensure effective shift handover via log book, email and status board.
• Liaise with other FM Workplace Solutions providers for integrated service delivery.
• Act as Authorised Person for control of work and adhere to Permit to Work System.
• Carry out electrical switching operations within Change Control Process and authorization limits.
• Lead in shift training using scenarios and lessons learnt; operate critical plant where authorised.
• Ensure compliance to client and CBRE GWS health and safety processes and procedures.
