The Opportunity: As a Technical Service Operator, you will play a vital role in ensuring our sites meet customer and company requirements. You will maintain positive relationships with suppliers, internal teams, and external customers. Your proactive approach to quality will support continuous improvement, and you will manage technical information related to carton production.

How you will impact Smurfit Westrock:

  • Manage technical carton production information within the Technical Service team.
  • Receive directives from your line manager, participate in meetings, and conduct performance reviews.
  • Perform general responsibilities as instructed, assist teammates, and operate efficiently within the preproduction environment.
  • Gather data from customers for new items.
  • Generate Master Estimates, Production Estimates, and item specifications.
  • Manage revision levels and obsolescence of items.
  • Ensure accurate cost capture.
  • Make decisions regarding the use of combi print and process items accordingly.
  • Conduct technical pre-flighting of artwork.
  • Ensure production meets quality standards, SOP guidelines, and customer requirements.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and quality programs.

What you will need to succeed:

  • Experience in print, packaging, or manufacturing is desirable.
  • Familiarity with Radius ERP software is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite; familiarity with Adobe / FileMaker software is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of print/prepress/repro activities.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
