Job summary

Mitchell Maguire Limited is seeking a Technical Sales Manager – Roofing & Waterproofing Systems to drive field sales across the North of the UK. You will promote high-quality roofing and waterproofing products to contractors, merchants and specifiers.

The role blends account management with new business development, with a turnover target of about £2.5–£3m and a remuneration package including a £50,000 base salary and a £15,000 bonus.

Qualifications

• Must have sold building envelope or roofing solutions such as membranes, felt, flat roof systems or cladding.
• Experience selling to roofing contractors, flat roofing contractors, surveyors and merchants.
• Ideally have contractor and specification experience.

Responsibilities

• Field sales targeting roofing contractors and merchants with a high quality range.
• Spent time meeting customers and developing new business in the North region.
• Target turnover of around £2.5–£3m with a blend of account management and new business.
• Develop specifier relationships to grow project wins.

The role of the Business Development Manager - Roofing & Waterproofing Systems will involve:

• Field sales position selling a high quality range of roofing & waterproofing systems such as; single play membranes, felt systems, hot & liquid applied waterproofing, ancillary and accessories


• All of your time will be spent selling to roofing contractors, flat roofing contractors building surveyors and roofing distributors / merchants such as; Jewsons, MKM and IBNG


• As the role progressing looking at targeting specifiers and contractor


• Targeted to turnover circa £2.5-£3m


• Good blend of account management and new business

The ideal applicant will be a Business Development Manager - Roofing & Waterproofing Systems with:

• Must have sold a similar building envelope or roofing solution such as; guttering, roof tiles, insulation, flat roofing, pitched roofing, cladding, facades etc


• Must have sold to roofing contractors, flat roofing contractors building surveyors and roofing distributors / merchants


• Ideally have contractors and specification experience


• Genuine 'get up and go', hungry and desire to earn


• Results orientated, hungry and enthusiastic
