Job summary

Personnel Selection is recruiting a Sales Engineer to join a growing engineering business with an international customer base. You will combine a technical foundation with a commercial mindset, developing quotations, proposals and responding to tenders.

You'll work with the Sales Director and UK Sales Manager on customer-facing sales, business development, and project activity across the UK, with occasional overseas travel.

Qualifications

• Technical or engineering background is required.
• Experience in technical sales or the drive to start a sales career using engineering knowledge.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly and commercially.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills are essential.
• A proactive, organised and self-motivated approach is needed.
• Determination to identify opportunities and convert them into business.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical quotations and proposals for customers.
• Prepare and respond to tenders and support live project opportunities.
• Drive customer-facing sales, business development and account management in the UK (and occasional overseas).
• Build and maintain relationships with customers across the UK and abroad.
