Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer (Capital Equipment) in Nottingham. The role is home-based with UK-wide site visits and occasional overseas travel, selling robotic and automation machinery to blue chip clients.

You'll split time between managing key accounts (about 70%) and developing new business (about 30%), with autonomy to shape the role and build long-term partnerships. Salary £40,000–£45,000 plus OTE to £55,000, 34 days holiday, company car, laptop and phone,

Qualifications

• Experience in machinery/capital equipment sales.
• Ability to manage a diary and work from home.
• Experience selling to blue chip clients UK/overseas.

Responsibilities

• Sell special purpose machinery and equipment such as robotics and automation.
• Manage key accounts (70%) and develop new business (30%).
• Engage with industries: automotive, aerospace, military, nuclear.
• Travel UK client sites, home-based with office day in Nottingham.
