Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer (Capital Equipment) in the Nottingham area. You will sell special purpose machinery and robotics, managing key accounts across the UK and developing new business while visiting client sites and exhibitions.

The role is largely home based, with one day per week in the Nottingham office. Candidates should have a machinery/capital equipment background and proven sales experience in blue‑chip environments.

Qualifications

• Experience selling machinery or capital equipment to blue chip clients.
• Proven ability to manage key accounts and develop new business.
• Autonomous role with ability to shape own diary and visit client sites.

Responsibilities

• Selling special purpose machinery and equipment such as robotics and automation.
• Managing key accounts (70%) and developing new business (30%).
• Working with industries such as automotive, aerospace, military, and nuclear.
• Home based, visiting client sites across the UK with one day in the Nottingham office.
