Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL are recruiting a technically minded Technical Sales Engineer for our client based in Stourport-on-Severn. You will manage enquiries, build customer relationships and develop solutions that turn quotes into profitable orders, working closely with engineering and production teams.

The role combines technical input with commercial focus, CAD drawing updates, tender submissions and occasional site visits to support customers and grow business.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in sales or technical sales.
• Experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
• CAD software proficiency to create and amend drawings.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage incoming enquiries and convert opportunities into profitable orders.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
• Prepare accurate quotations, proposals and tender submissions.
• Interpret customer requirements and develop suitable technical solutions.
• Create and amend technical drawings and layouts using CAD software.
• Work closely with engineering and production teams to ensure customer requirements are understood and delivered accurately.
• Follow up quotations promptly to maximise sales opportunities.
• Provide technical support and product guidance, covering mechanical and electrical applications where required.
• Ensure orders are processed efficiently, with accurate information passed to the relevant departments.
• Keep customers informed of order progress and resolve any issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of enquiries, quotations, orders and customer activity using CRM software.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
• Undertake occasional customer and site visits as required.
