Job summary

Coats Recruitment Ltd in Stourport-on-Severn is seeking a technically minded Technical Sales Engineer. You will combine technical sales, customer relationship management and business development to understand customer requirements and develop competitive solutions.

Working with engineering and production teams, you will convert enquiries into profitable orders, prepare quotations and tender submissions, and support customers from initial enquiry through to order completion.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a sales or technical sales role.
• Experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage incoming enquiries and convert opportunities into orders.
• Build and maintain relationships with new and existing customers.
• Prepare accurate quotations, proposals and tender submissions.
• Interpret customer requirements and develop technical solutions.
• Create and amend technical drawings using CAD.
• Work with engineering and production teams to deliver requirements.
• Follow up quotations to maximise sales opportunities.
• Provide technical support and product guidance.
• Maintain CRM records of enquiries and orders.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
• Occasional customer and site visits.
