Job summary

TRC Yorkshire seeks a Technical Sales Engineer for a leading British manufacturer in the Materials Handling sector. Based in Stourbridge, you will handle technical and commercial enquiries and provide quotes and pre‑sales support.

You will collaborate with engineering and production teams to develop customer solutions, create CAD drawings, and pursue new business opportunities, including occasional site visits. Permanent, office-based role.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Sales role.
• Proficiency in CAD and ability to create/modify technical drawings.
• Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to business development.
• Experience within engineering industry.

Responsibilities

• Manage incoming enquiries and convert leads to sales.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and partners.
• Prepare quotations, proposals and tender submissions.
• Work with engineering and production teams to develop customer solutions.
• Create and modify technical drawings and layouts using CAD.
• Understand and interpret customer requirements.
• Follow up quotations to secure profitable orders.
• Maintain expert level of product knowledge and application knowledge.
• Provide pre-sales technical expertise to customers.
