Overview

Role: Technical Sales Engineer

Type: Permanent, Full Time

Salary: £37,000 - £39,000 dependant on experience (DOE)

Hours: Mon - Thurs 7:30am - 16:00pm; Fri 7:30am - 13:00pm

Location: Worcester, West Midlands

Are you an experienced Technical Sales Engineer or in a Technical CAD role and want to progress into sales? The opportunity is with a leading Engineering company based in Worcester. The client is looking for a Technical Sales Engineer on a full-time, permanent basis due to growth.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the main point of contact for customers, handling enquiries via phone, email and in person while building strong working relationships.
• Identify and respond to customer needs by developing suitable, cost-effective solutions and preparing accurate quotations.
• Produce layouts and costed solutions for customer requirements using CAD.
• Provide pre-sales technical guidance and maintain a high level of product and application knowledge to support both new and existing clients.
• Coordinate orders efficiently, ensuring clear communication between customers and internal teams, and resolving issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate CRM records, follow up opportunities, pursue new business and conduct site or customer visits.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Strong attention to detail and work ethic
• Proficient in Microsoft Office - Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Ability to read technical drawings, ideally produced from AutoCAD
• Ability to use SAGE 200 or similar
• Excellent team player and problem solver
• Able to work well independently and as part of a team
