Job summary

Kemp Recruitment Ltd, on behalf of a well-established hydraulic specialist, is seeking a Technical Sales Advisor in Strood. You will manage customer enquiries by phone, email, and live chat, provide technical advice and quotations, and process orders to drive sales.

You will develop relationships with existing customers, identify new business opportunities, and work with suppliers and internal teams to source products and fulfil orders.

Qualifications

• Experience in technical sales, internal sales or customer service.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Proficient with MS Office and CRM systems.
• Experience in hydraulics, pneumatics, engineering or industrial environments is advantageous but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage customer enquiries via telephone, email, website and live chat, providing professional and timely support.
• Understand customer requirements, provide technical advice and recommend suitable products and solutions.
• Prepare quotations, process orders and follow up enquiries accurately to maximise sales opportunities.
• Develop existing customer relationships while identifying opportunities for new business, upselling and cross-selling.
• Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to source products and ensure orders are fulfilled efficiently.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and support continuous improvement through customer feedback and effective administration.

Salary: 30,000 to 35,000

Hours: Monday to Friday 8am to 5:30pm

Key Responsibilities

Skills & Experience Required

• Previous experience in technical sales, internal sales, customer service or a similar commercial role.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a confident and professional approach to customers and suppliers.
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities in a busy environment.
• Confident using Microsoft Office, CRM systems, email and other online platforms.
• Commercially aware, numerate and proactive, with strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.
• Experience within hydraulics, pneumatics, engineering or an industrial environment would be advantageous, although not essential.
