Job summary

Kemp Recruitment Ltd is recruiting for a Technical Sales Advisor on behalf of a well-established supplier of hydraulic hoses and hydraulic products. You will handle customer enquiries, provide product advice, prepare quotations and process orders, while developing existing relationships and seeking new business opportunities.

The role is based in Strood, with standard hours of 8am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday. A rewarding, training-focused environment offers career development and strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in technical sales, internal sales, customer service or a similar commercial role.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a confident and professional approach to customers and suppliers.
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities in a busy environment.
• Confident using Microsoft Office, CRM systems, email and other online platforms.
• Commercially aware, numerate and proactive, with strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.
• Experience within hydraulics, pneumatics, engineering or an industrial environment would be advantageous, although not essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage customer enquiries via telephone, email, website and live chat, providing professional and timely support.
• Understand customer requirements, provide technical advice and recommend suitable products and solutions.
• Prepare quotations, process orders and follow up enquiries accurately to maximise sales opportunities.
• Develop existing customer relationships while identifying opportunities for new business, upselling and cross-selling.
• Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to source products and ensure orders are fulfilled efficiently.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and support continuous improvement through customer feedback and effective administration.
