Kemp Recruitment Limited is recruiting a Technical Sales Advisor for a well-established hydraulic specialist in Strood. You will manage enquiries, provide product advice and deliver accurate quotations to support sales growth and customer satisfaction.

Join a technically focused team, build strong relationships with customers and suppliers, identify upsell opportunities and help ensure orders are fulfilled efficiently with precise CRM records and superb service.

Qualifications

• Experience in technical sales or a similar commercial role.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and professional approach.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage priorities.
• Confident using Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
• Numerate with good negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in hydraulics, pneumatics or engineering is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Handle customer enquiries via telephone, email, website and live chat.
• Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable products and solutions.
• Prepare quotations, process orders and follow up enquiries to maximise sales.
• Develop existing relationships and identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
• Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to source products and fulfil orders.
• Maintain CRM records and support continuous improvement through feedback.

Technical Sales Advisor

Salary:£30,000 to £35,000

Hours:Monday to Friday 8am to 5:30pm

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established specialist supplier of hydraulic hoses, fittings and associated hydraulic products, supporting customers across a wide range of industrial and engineering applications. The business provides a comprehensive range of products and technical solutions, combining product expertise with a strong focus on customer service and reliable supply.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing technical organisation where you will work closely with customers to understand their requirements, provide product advice and help deliver the right hydraulic solutions for their applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage customer enquiries via telephone, email, website and live chat, providing professional and timely support.
• Understand customer requirements, provide technical advice and recommend suitable products and solutions.
• Prepare quotations, process orders and follow up enquiries accurately to maximise sales opportunities.
• Develop existing customer relationships while identifying opportunities for new business, upselling and cross-selling.
• Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to source products and ensure orders are fulfilled efficiently.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and support continuous improvement through customer feedback and effective administration.

Skills & Experience Required

• Previous experience in technical sales, internal sales, customer service or a similar commercial role.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a confident and professional approach to customers and suppliers.
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities in a busy environment.
• Confident using Microsoft Office, CRM systems, email and other online platforms.
• Commercially aware, numerate and proactive, with strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.
• Experience within hydraulics, pneumatics, engineering or an industrial environment would be advantageous, although not essential.
