Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in construction/building products/merchanting sectors.
• Experience selling building products.
• Telephone-based sales, account management, or customer service experience.
• Proven ability to build strong customer relationships.

• Proficient IT skills including Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
• Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Manage inbound customer enquiries.
• Make outbound sales calls to existing, dormant and prospective customers.
• Provide customers with delivery updates and order information.
• Handle returns and escalate technical product queries where required.
• Re-engage lapsed customers and win back lost business.
• Account manage existing customers and identify opportunities to increase revenue.

We are recruiting for a Technical Sales Advisor to join a highly successful Bristol branch within a national business that has built an outstanding reputation over more than 25 years. This is an excellent opportunity for a Technical Sales Advisor who enjoys building customer relationships, driving sales growth, and working within a fast-paced construction materials environment.

As a Technical Sales Advisor, you will become part of a supportive and experienced team, working alongside branch colleagues and technical specialists to provide exceptional service to customers across the construction sector. The Role

As a Technical Sales Advisor, your responsibilities will include:

• Processing customer orders accurately and efficiently

To be considered for this Technical Sales Advisor position, you must have:

• Previous experience working within the construction, building products or merchanting sectors
• Experience selling building products
• Experience in telephone-based sales, account management, internal sales, business development or customer service
• Experience of inbound and outbound calling
• A proven ability to build strong customer relationships
• Strong communication and commercial awareness
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and CRM systems
• Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities
• A positive, can-do attitude
• The ability to work effectively as part of a tea
