Job summary

TechMet Ltd. is seeking an engineering professional to join as a technical sales specialist with a global travel requirement. Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will support sales objectives, understand trading aspects, and build strong customer relationships to drive business.

You will manage accounts, report progress on projects, delivery, invoicing, and pricing, while staying aware of market trends to identify new opportunities.

Qualifications

• Educated to Engineering HNC/HND/Degree level.
• Experience in a technical environment.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Assist Sales Manager in achieving sales objectives.
• Understand trading aspects including manufacturing, transport, and accounting.
• Develop and maintain relationships with customers.
• Manage customer accounts and report status to Sales Manager.

The Role

Reporting to the Sales Manager the post-holder will be responsible for:

• Assisting the Sales Manager to achieve sales objectives
• Understanding all aspects of trading, including manufacturing, transportation, and accounting, to provide best service to customers.
• Developing and maintaining successful working relationships with customers
• Managing customer accounts and reporting their status to the Sales Manager with regards to project schedule, delivery, tooling arrangement, invoicing, payment, etc.
• Keeping abreast of customer, competitor and market trends to leverage and develop new business

The Person

Essential

• Educated to Engineering HNC/HND/ Degree level
• Previous experience in a technical environment
• Very good working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Desirable

• Mechanical Engineering background
• Previous experience in automotive industry
• Experience of Account Management in a technical environment
• 7.30am - 4pm or 8am-4. 30 and 2pm finish Friday
