Job summary
Morson Edge is seeking a Training & Competence Lead (Technical Readiness) to ensure newly recruited technicians are developed and supported to achieve Initial Operational Performance (IOP) safely and on time. You will oversee the delivery of vehicle, equipment and process training, and introduce training pathways and competence frameworks for effective assessments.
The role requires leading a structured development journey from induction through to readiness, with a strong focus on safety,
Qualifications
- Significant experience in safety-critical maintenance.
- Experience delivering technician development and mentoring.
- Strong understanding of competence management in safety-critical industries.
- Ability to interpret standards, rules and procedures in operations.
- Confident stakeholder engagement across the business.
Responsibilities
- Lead Technical Readiness and IOP delivery.
- Define pathways for technical, safety and behavioural readiness.
- Ensure technicians are released to operations only after competence is demonstrated.
- Collaborate with training providers to align learning with operational needs.
- Support continuous improvement of training materials and assessments.
