Job summary

Bowmay Consulting Ltd in Nottingham is seeking a Senior Quality and/or Technical Manager with a strong textile background to join a growing technical textile manufacturer.

This hands-on leader bridges strategy and shop floor, mentoring a team, driving R&D from concept to bulk production, and owning quality and environmental systems while leading external audits.

The role is on-site Monday to Friday with a strong impact on site operations and business growth.

Qualifications

• Strong technical background in textiles with hands-on warp/weft knitting or weaving and dyeing/coating experience.
• Proven track record in product development, quality management systems and auditing.
• Commercially aware leadership with cross-functional communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Department: mentor a dedicated team and champion a right-first-time culture.
• Drive R&D: oversee product development from concept and trials to bulk production.
• Manage Quality & enviromental standards: own quality and environmental systems and lead external customer audits.
• Support Sales: provide expert technical input for customer inquiries and specifications.

Are you a senior Quality and/or Technical Manager with a strong knowledge of woven or knitted textiles seeking a new challenge?

We’re partnering with an ambitious, growing technical textile manufacturer in the Nottingham area to find an experienced Quality & Technical Manager to join them throughout an exciting period of growth.

We are looking for a hands-on manager who can bridge the gap between strategic development and practical manufacturing.

Due to the nature of the role, you will need to be on-site Monday to Friday.

• Relevant qualifications in textile technology, engineering, chemistry, or quality management (preferred).
