Job summary

Bowmay Consulting in Nottingham is partnering with a growing technical textile manufacturer to appoint a Senior Quality & Technical Manager. You will lead the department, bridging strategy and hands-on manufacturing, with a focus on right-first-time quality, R&D, and audits.

The role is onsite Monday to Friday, offering £50–60k DOE and the opportunity to shape site operations and future growth within a respected business.

Qualifications

• Strong technical background in textiles, with hands-on warp/weft knitting or weaving, plus dying and coating.
• Proven track record in product development, quality management systems, and auditing.
• Practical, commercially aware leadership with strong cross-functional communication.
• Relevant qualifications in textile technology, engineering, chemistry, or quality management (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead the Department: mentor a dedicated team and champion a right-first-time culture.
• Drive R&D: oversee product development from concept and trials through bulk production.
• Manage Quality & Standards: own the quality and environmental systems and lead external audits.
• Support Sales: provide expert technical input for customer enquiries and specifications.
