Job summary

Bowmay Consulting partners with a growing textile manufacturer in Scotland seeking a Quality Supervisor/Manager to drive quality across the function. You will lead a team, implement new ideas, and ensure compliance with customer expectations while supporting the company’s growth.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, collaboration with other departments, and ongoing development within a historic textile business that values employee input and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Strong background in textile manufacturing (wet or dry processing).
• Experience as Quality Manager or senior quality role.
• Experience managing or supervising a team.
• Experience with laboratory testing, in-process QC, chemical compliance (COSHH) and final release.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of quality and ensure compliance with standards and customer expectations.
• Supervise day-to-day QC, in-process checks, final inspection, release and product testing.
• Maintain and improve ISO 9001 QMS.
• Manage customer relationships and supplier quality audits.
• Propose and implement process improvements during growth.

Are you passionate about Quality Control and Compliance? Do you have notable experience with textile products? Are you process driven?

We're partnering with a growing business based in Scotland, who have an immediate requirement for an experienced Quality Supervisor / Quality Manager to join on a permanent basis.

This is not a caretaker role; you'll be instrumental in bringing new ideas to the table and implementing change across the quality function.

About You

• First and foremost, it is essential that you have a strong background in textile manufacturing whether that be wet or dry processing
• You’ll have proven experience in a similar role as Quality Manager, QC Manager, Quality & Technical Manager or a senior quality role where you’re looking you’re your next step up
• Ideally, you’ll have previously managed or supervised a team
• Your experience should span laboratory and technical testing, in-process QC, chemical compliance (COSHH) and final inspection/release
• You’ll be genuinely excited by joining a business who are growing year on year and the opportunities that will present to you and your own personal development
