Ocado Retail is seeking a Technical Operations Lead in Hatfield. Hybrid role, 3 days in-office, 40 hours per week. You will run governance, plan capacity, own the integrated roadmap and drive OKRs and release readiness with senior stakeholders.

You will coordinate cross-functionally with product, engineering, Finance, and People teams, ensuring delivery aligns with strategic objectives and operational standards.

Qualifikationen

• Substantial experience in technical operations, strategy, or consulting.

Aufgaben

• Design, run and improve leadership forums cadence with agendas and actions.
• Maintain a decision log with owners and rationale.
• Ensure each forum has a clear purpose and outputs; retire unused forums.
• Maintain capacity view across teams including contractors and partners.
• Model capacity impact of new demand; present options to leadership.
• Collaborate with Finance and People on headcount and budgets.
• Own and keep the integrated roadmap current.
• Run prioritisation using value, effort, risk; show rationale.
• Identify duplicated or misaligned work; present options.
• Lead the quarterly OKR cycle; align to objectives.
• Map roadmap items to OKRs; flag misalignments.
• Run OKR check-ins and quarter-end reviews.
• Set release readiness standards; go/no-go criteria.
• View upcoming releases and timing with stakeholders.
• Run post-release reviews; feed lessons into planning.
• Maintain cross-team risk/issue/dependency log.
• Escalate dependencies early; propose actions.
• Coordinate with Commercial, Operations, Finance, Data, Security.
• Build regular delivery progress reports; tailor for audiences.
• Prepare CDTO briefs for key meetings.
• Define what great looks like; set standards for delivery.
• Run retrospectives; close actions.
• Identify capability gaps; lead improvements.
• Foster ownership, transparency and follow-through.
• Benchmark against other organisations.
• Plan and deliver internal communications and all-hands.
• Own action plan from engagement surveys.
• Organise leadership offsites and onboarding for leaders.
• Lead high-priority cross-cutting initiatives for Leader.
• Represent CDTO in meetings; follow up on issues.
