Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Technical leader for its Smartgrids team to guide projects involving distribution network design, private networks, and renewable connections. You will manage client relationships and coordinate multidisciplinary teams to deliver engineering solutions on time and within safety standards.

You will serve as a senior technical mentor, shape capability development, and ensure compliance with Grid, DNO, IEC and ENA standards while supporting business growth and project governance.

Qualifications

• Significant knowledge and track record in Smartgrids, distribution grid and private networks engineering and/or renewable generation connection delivery.
• A minimum 2:1 degree in an Electrical Engineering, or Renewable Energy discipline.
• Membership of a professional engineering body e.g., the IET.
• Chartered Engineering status with an appropriate professional engineering body, or the ability to achieve this in future.
• Significant knowledge and track record in the development and delivery of Smartgrid, distribution grid and private networks and/or renewables connection projects.
• Knowledge of Grid, DNO, British, IEC and ENA Standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership within the Smartgrids team on projects including distribution network design and renewable connections.
• Establish client relationships and support delivery of regional technical capability.
• Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary design delivery to meet time, budget and safety targets.
• Coach and mentor engineers to develop Arcadis’ talent pool.
• Promote continual improvement in safety, quality and innovative engineering solutions.
