Leidos UK & EUROPE in Farnborough seeks a Lead Software Engineer to sustain the current environment and deliver new capabilities. You will drive delivery, lead technical decisions, mentor engineers, and act as the technical representative of the software team to customers and stakeholders.

This role requires extensive Java backend experience, proven technical leadership, and strong CI/CD and security scanning knowledge. UK Security Clearance is required for this role.

Qualifications

• Extensive software engineering experience with Java (8+).
• Proven technical leadership, including steering technical decisions.
• Experience mentoring engineers and representing the team to stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of design patterns and CI/CD concepts.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for the software team and guide implementation decisions.
• Ensure adherence to code reviews, quality gates, and security scanning.
• Develop, debug, test, document, and deploy software enhancements.
• Lead delivery of Java-based backend services and APIs across environments.
