CGI London, Leatherhead, is seeking a Software Development Lead to guide a high‑performing team while remaining hands‑on in Java and C++. You will champion code quality, automated testing, and DevOps practices, collaborating with project managers and technical authorities to deliver complex solutions.

The role combines technical leadership with mentorship, enabling delivery across the software lifecycle on mission‑critical programmes requiring UK SC clearance. Hybrid on‑site work is expected.

Qualificações

• Proven track record leading or directing software engineering teams.
• Hands-on in Java and C++ development and code reviews.
• Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps practices.
• Excellent communication with PMs, architects, and cross‑functional teams.

Responsabilidades

• Provide technical leadership and coaching to a ~10 engineer team.
• Remain hands‑on with Java and C++ development, delivering enhancements and fixes.
• Champion code quality, peer reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD practices.
• Plan, estimate and coordinate development work with PMs, managing risks and dependencies.
• Mentor engineers and support recruitment and onboarding.
• Promote best practices and continuous improvement across delivery.
