Job summary
Reevr Talent Ltd is seeking a Technical Lead Project Engineer to own the technical lifecycle of defence and aerospace projects in Portsmouth. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, manage requirements and risks, and drive design reviews from concept through delivery.
The role demands an engineering degree and at least 3 years in defence or aerospace, with strong analytical skills and excellent stakeholder management. Salary sits at £55k–£65k with a permanent, full-time contract.
Qualifications
- Engineering degree or equivalent required.
- 3+ years' experience in defence or aerospace.
- Experience with requirements, compliance and technical risk management.
- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical design.
- Experience leading technical projects or work packages.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
Responsibilities
- Own the technical lifecycle from start to finish
- Lead engineering projects and technical work packages
- Set technical direction from the early stages
- Manage requirements, compliance and technical risks
- Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Lead design reviews including PDR, DDR & CDR
- Review technical deliverables and maintain quality
- Support prototyping, testing and validation
- Work with customers and suppliers
- Deliver against cost, quality and deadlines
